AKAMAI TECHNOLOGIES LACKS the name recognition of Google and Amazon, but the company is probably just as relevant to your online experience. Akamai (ticker: AKAM), which has 48,000 servers positioned around the world and handles up to 20% of all Internet traffic, acts as a lubricant of sorts, keeping online activity moving smoothly.
